DISCLAIMER: All that I stated there is just my opinion and it also contains SPOILERS to the actual scenes of the movie. So BEWARE to those who don't want to be SPOIL in this movie, and to those who watched this movie, Be FREE to READ it.

Insurgent is an action adventure movie based on Veronica Roth’s novel directed by Robert Schwentke, that talks about choosing oneself based on their human characteristics and values to 5 factions namely; Dauntless a group consists of truly warriors, soldiers who will protect the city (mark of a brave), Amity people who devoted for peace, kindness, and harmony, they are also who farm foods in the society (the peaceful), Erudite (the intelligent) these are people who knows-it-all from facts to history; Abnegation (the selfless) consist of people who are kind enough to help faction-less (people who don’t belong to any 5 of the factions); and Candor (the honest) people who value honesty and order, sworn to tell the truth without hesitation. The main protagonist of this story was Beatrice Prior, has a perfect family in Abnegation, living with his brother Caleb Prior and her parents.

So this film is the continuation of the Divergent series, where Beatrice, Four and his dad, Peter, and Caleb are on the run for they are hiding at the Amity faction. The film started with some kind of weird box, where Eric and some of his army found it on the Prior’s house, must be pretty important from the looks of it. Tris was still on the outrun of her past, especially her random nightmares about the people she killed before, and still it makes it the main theme of the story.

As the film progresses, Factionless was deeply explained in this film, these are people who don’t belong to any factions at all. They are some kind of “free people” doing whatever they want. Although Peter on his betrayal forcing Tris and others to run for their lives and met these people. Some of the fight scenes were there but it suddenly stopped when Four said his real name, it can be deduced that his mother was the leader of the said group.

It was really great that one of my questions was answered, and Four’s mother was alive for some reason though it’s unclear, but I think it’s not an important detail so they did not focus on that in this film. Cador also was one of the faction that I’m anxious to know, yet thanks to this film they really value honesty and justice for Tris and Four wake them up about Jeanne’s evil plan and sort of make an alliance with them to assassinate Jeanne for good.

Jeanne on her mission to find divergents was a big deal after all, not to kill them but to find a 100% divergent to open the box that came from the builders of this land. Yet groovy technology make it possible to know how much being a divergent a person is, turns out Tris is 100% divergent after all. Many lives were spent, killing innocent people, even implanting some sort of bomb until Tris will propose herself and voluntarily went to Erudite to stop these miserable situation. Tris wise decision save many people, for Jeanne waste her time to test the 5 sims from non-divergent people and 6 subjects failed and died already.

This film got better and better, the story plot was awesome especially the plot twist of it. Shailene really was the best actress for this character, for she can perform tasks based on the character in the film. She developed her acting skills not that she was not good compared to the last film, but she did well on executing Tris being a divergent character. The main plot twist was really clever, Caleb his brother joined Jeanne letting his sibling do this executing thing. Peter was also there, proving that he did not betrayed Tris and out-smarted Jeanne for making a smart move, faking the death of Tris in order that the box will not open for some reason. The most awaited message was the real reason, divergent has purpose in this society, they’re the solution not the problem for they are vital in the survival of humanity not because they are different but because of what they are capable of.

Yet this film finally satisfied my questions in this movie, hoping that they will be able to make a part 3 out of it. I rated this film 10/10 awesome story plot, best plot twist ever encountered in this film. I was really impresses to the author who make this story, making it valuable and inspiring to the people who don’t know their purpose in life. The editing skills of the people behind this film was extraordinary, all of the 5 sims that marks the 5 factions in which Tris tested upon was mind-blowing and thrilling at the same time, yet she is one of a kind divergent who opened the mysterious box and revealed the truth to the whole society on how divergents are vital to this community.

I also valued the people who make this novel-based film, there are lack of sound effects on some fighting scenes, makes me bored because of it. But all in all I was really amaze of the story plot, cringing for more of it. Two question that I hope they will answer it if this film has a part 3, what does Tris going to do since all factions knows the truth that divergents are important in the society? Second, what lies beyond the wall from 200 years of isolation?
