Wonder Woman 2017: LOVE is the only thing that can save the WORLD

Here is one of my friend’s suggestion, when he wants me to make a review to a DC movie, he watched. So here it is, Hope you enjoy it!!!

DISCLAIMER: All that I stated their is just my opinion and it also contains SPOILERS to the actual scenes of the movie. So BEWARE to those who don't want to be SPOIL in this movie, and to those who watched this movie, Be FREE to READ it.

Wonder Woman is a Sci Fi, action film in which it talks about an amazon princess who was raised on the hidden island of Themyscira, an island in which her fellow amazons created by Zeus lives there in order to protect the mankind. Although this story is based on DC Comics, they seem to make a different versions of it. Wonder Woman was played by Gal Gadot in this film, its stor may seem repeated from the original comics but I think this movie explains thoroughly where and what kind of person Wonder Woman is.

Diana Prince was the real name of Wonder woman, from the start of the scene you will notice that her voice was full of power and emotions. When I watched this scene, I may seem to hypothesize that this girl is somewhat important in this movie but still confused of what she is trying to say. After that she flashed back and tells her story from being the only girl in her island.

The Amazonians are warriors which created by Zeus in order to protect mankind from Ares, his son the God of war. Their origin is based on greek gods who fight for humanity, so Amazonians have really good battle reflexes and awesome warrior skills based on the training sessions Diana has been through.

Not until a man named Steve Trevor make it through this hidden island and brought back German soldiers with him. After the fighting scenes, many Amazonians are wounded and they decided to lasso Steve, tying him with the “lasso of truth”, a famous weapon of wonder woman. No one has ever resist its power to lie and all of the information they wanted to Steve was given but not enough. Diana realizes that Ares maybe the source of this war said by Steve a while ago, and she is willing to risk her life to find this God and save all mankind.

Diana was very curious of Steve because she didn’t ever see a man before. One of the awkward scenes about it is that when Steve stand up not knowing he didn’t have a pants on. And I think that scene lasted for more 2-3 minutes and for its quite disturbing for us girls. After that, Diana went out to their island along with Steve and they journeyed back in London in order to end a war.

This film is quite disturbing for some reasons that even a bit of censored that for me is quite awkward. I mean audiences with age groups of 16 and up can understand the meaning of the film they’re picturing, but for age groups below that range seems to be a little confusing to them or worse curious of what the actors and actresses did. Ironically speaking, all the love scenes are also good because it is somewhat combined in some scenes of the movie which requires a bit entertainment, but for a person like me who doesn’t want the “love scenes” be the main plot should not watch this movie.

Anyway, Wonder woman finds her own destiny by experiencing she felt for Steve after he risk her life to save them all from the gas whom Doctor Poison accomplish. Doctor Poison was a doctor who specialized chemical matrixes in order to produce a weapon which could make the Germans won from a war to London. Diana knew that if she killed the general of the German soldiers, all of this fighting ends because that’s what she learned from her ancestors. Destroying Ares, the God of War will be the only way in order to save mankind from fighting each other but she realizes she was wrong.

The plot twists starts here, a person who you truly trust was the one who will betray you in the future. Ares was with them all along, waiting for an opportunity to fight in Diana’s weakest position. The weakest position I think Ares waited in order to use it as a weapon to fight Diana was the last scene of Her talking to Steve the sounds of it was somewhat muted for a right cause. Because the plot twist was that Diana knew what was Steve was saying before and what Steve said was truly a work of being in love with her. Sacrificing his own life to save Diana and others was the only way to gain enough courage to do it even though he is not happy about it. This sacrifice made Diana realizes that “Love is the only thing that can save the world” from what she experienced from the past and what love Steve and her share for each other.

I rated this movie 9/10 because the romantic scenes along with the fighting scenes was somewhat in harmony or synchronize which makes this movie awesome and thrilling at the same time. There are some inappropriate sound effects in which I think that is unrelated to a specific scenes but all of the main plot and everything was surprisingly good. From all the wonder woman I’ve watched this movie was the only thing that makes me understand what Diana truly is and her capabilities. I really recommend this movie from the age groups 16 and above because like I said before there are some scenes that are confusing to the following below to that age. All in all, it was good, worth to watch and I hope for more movies concerning Gal Gadot as wonder woman in the future DC movies.
