Hacker 2016 is a Drama/ Crime film directed by Akan Satayev in which the story revolves from an immigrant named Alex ( Callan McAuliffe) who is the protagonist the story, and the one who is described to be the "hacker" in this movie. Along with his best friend named Sye (Daniel Eric Gold) who is a black market dealer and helps Alex to earn enough money for their own benefits.

This film is thrilling in the fact that the main plot focuses more on "hacking" a cyber crime in which it involves of codes and working on computer screens. But the story relates into a dramatic version in which it includes relationship between friends, family whose the main reason why the protagonist chose to be a hacker than finishing his studies. Being a professional hacker is a serious way that should have a "techie skills" a person should have a basic knowledge in computers, we can see it from the film when Alex was young, we can see that he really has a passion in computers. For mostly he spent his time, playing games or do something in the computer, since then it became his hobby.

The moment a problem strikes his capabilities, he voluntarily to earn money for their living and decided to be a "hacker" rather than studying in college. He met Sye a man who met him unexpectedly and helps him to earn money as many as he wants. Their relationship as friends can be infuriating in the fact that Sye was Jealous to Kira for she was kind of brainwashing Alex and be able to act on her own despite of Sye suspicion to her.

Turns out this film only focuses on Alex, his despicable acts to earn money for his family. For these we can conclude that there are no secrets that can be kept forever, so their actions lead to major consequences. The Dark Web, the popular hacker website composed of different people that can do what a hacker does; has a simple basis to be the "underboss" of this site should be able to earn alot of money as possible alloted to the "Dark web's" Reputation and popularity. Alex and Kira being a tandem, together they hacked a lot of money from the ATM machine in Hong Kong, caught the interest of the real owner of the "Dark Web" and work for him as an executive hacker assigned to be able to earn money 5 times as they does.

Their actions caught the attention of the anti cybercrime group in U.S. and Kira shot died and Alex was detained for 2 years and was released after it with Kira alive. The major plot twist was abrupt for Kira was the one who makes it all possible, the unexplained buyers whom she always said come to her "unknown uncle" in order to sell their hacked products without hesitation, their luck as they sell their products without them getting caught and detained because of Kira's mysterious uncle which can be seen at the end of the film.

I rated 8/10 for the story plot was good but hoping for a better progress if this film will have a next series. And this film was lack of sound effects for it focuses on the narrative story of Alex as a hacker, hoping for more visual and auditory dimensional effects for the audience will not be bored as the scenes progresses.
