High Strung is an American Drama film directed by Michael Damian in which it talks about Ruby and her majestic dancing of both classical and contemporary genre in arts. She is a talented girl who studied in the MCA (Manhattan Conservatory of the Arts) in order to finish her career as a professional dancer. It started with Johnnie, his prologue while playing his violin with a dull expression in his face, a young British Violinists who plays at the subway to earn money for his brother. Ruby and Johnnie met in a weird situation in which a group of people Having a dance duel in the subway. After the dance duel Johnnie's violin got stolen and they seem to be attached to each other since then.

The controversy of Ruby and his roomate Jazzy because of her tardiness that hinders her to achieve her dream to become a dancer, and wasted all she have done in a despicable man, she met at the pub. Johnnie's unspeakable behavior to Ruby despite the fact she only helps him to get his violin back was unaaceptable in Ruby's perspective. Unexpected setbacks between Ruby and her scholarship in MCA because of her inability to cope up in her contemporary classes, making her invulnerable for thw upcoming competition in her school along with her boyfriend and the Switchsteps, a dance crew who joined them in a string and dance competition in MCA in order to resolve Johnnie's problem when it comes in money.

For the record this movie combine both classical and contemporary genres of art when it come in dancing with an art of string music which makes it majestic and incredible. The way Ruby ( Keenan Kampa) dances in such perfection, her style in classical ballet dancing was highly accurate for the way she uses her body gestures as a sign to portray a suitable emotion. The way Johnnie (Nicholas Galitzine) play his violin with such emotion, an emotion in which he didn't know where it come from at first. But the music inculcating his brain, a fire running through his veins, engulfing his soul, is what the music showed him after they perform.

The performance was breathe-taking and extraordinary, certain talented dancers compete together in order to get a Full scholarship at MCA and a 25,000 $ cash. Their performance was beautiful and outstanding, Johnnie as the violinist who portray the right kind of emotion while playing, Ruby whose dance was accurate and precise combining what she had learn in school along with the dynamic dance crew named SwitchSteps. Together they come up a performance of both classical and contemporary genres of art in a harmonize way.

In every ending of the film there is always be a realization, Johnnie realizes that the music he felt while playing was to share what he felt in the world through playing music. I rated this movie 9/10 in line to what the story plot is, Although the angle of vision in the audience perspective was not clear for every scene it focuses on dancing rather than the real story plot is. But the story plot is good, I like how they dance, and definitely a worth- to -watch movie
