Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone is a Sci Fi Film in which it talks about a boy named, Harry Potter who he didn't know was a celebrity in the wizarding world. He was the only wizard that survives the killing curse of Lord Voldemort. He was an 11 years old, lives at Privet Drive in his only muggle relatives. After his 11th birthday he receives a letter from Hogwarts, school of wizards and witches and be able to formally called himself a wizard. He finally meet Ron Weasley, his first friend who in the fact amazed by his story, the boy who lived. And also he met Hermione Granger, a muggle born who is practically knows everything from history and all through reading book. Harry Potter and his other fellow 1st years gather around in the hallway in order to be able to sort them in their houses base on their own personalities and capabilities. It was done by the sorting hat, it was the one who knows a certain wizard or witches abilities are suitable for them based on their personalities and capabilities.

I read about Harry Potter's 1st book and I expect so much when I knew that there is a film made for it. I love being a Potter Head and I want the best scenes will be able to be seen in the film. Turns out it did, some of my favorite scenes of Harry Potter book was there. And what I also noticed in the film was that the Harry Potter character, the appearance the way it was described in the book was so perfect it makes me cringe for more of this series. Also Hermione and Ron character which are played by Emma Watson and Rupert Grit who are amazing actors who are capable of acting in such satisfaction.

So Harry in his 1st year came in a good way, never knew that he was popular in this wizarding world, he was loving it there. Along with his friends Ron and Hermione who join him to solve a problem in which they never knew they are capable of solving it. First in their flying lesson using a broomstick, Harry became a seeker in Quidditch, it is a popular wizarding sport in Hogwarts in which it was played by 7 representatives of each houses and played with a certain rules in order to win the quidditch cup. It is composed of Chasers, who "chase" the quaffle (some kind of ball in quidditch) in order to shoot it in a certain quidditch pitches to earn 10 points every after quaffle that has been shoot in it. Beaters, composed of two on every Quidditch team, and they are the only players on the pitch who have bats. Their job is to keep the Bludgers away from their team and at the same time try and aim the Bludgers towards the opposite team.

And Lastly Seeker, the most important member of the Quidditch team, in which his goal is to catch the Golden Snitch ( a kind of ball that is so fast, that is hardly can be seen in naked eye. Harry who didn't know his talent of being a "seeker" runs in his blood, in the fact that his dad also a Seeker in the Gryffindor Quidditch team. And never knew Harry Potter in his 1st time to be a part of this big deal and they won, after Harry catches the Golden Snitch, barely.

After all the unexpected outcome of events came and turns out Harry and his friends were there to witness scenes that they should not know about. To make the story short, the philosopher's/ sorcerer's stone will be stolen by a professor who wants that power it posses, the power that can grant an eternal life. And that person who wants that power was Professor Quirrell, Harry's defense and dark arts teacher who kinda have the soul of "Voldemort" (dark wizard who kill Harry's parents and him, but turns out he survived to that). After that Harry and his friends solve it, rewarding them points in order to win the wizarding cup, a cup that is based on the points earn of every witches or wizards based on their houses they belong. Harry, Hermione, and Ron solved that problem, and all of them earn enough points in order to win their house Gryffindor. And they win, for all the hard work they've been through as friends.

I rated this movie 9/10, even though the animation of this film does not reach its full potential compared to the new movies using new technologies and new medias. But I was amazed to what this movie become, and even though it was made with not enough technologies to be used in order to make this amazingly awesome. I really valued the producers, directors, actors and actresses who put their effort and skills in order to make this movie possible. This movie meets my expectations, although there are some scenes I wanted to add like the scene of Hermione when they're going to save the sorcerer's/ philosopher's stone, her talent that was described in the book was quite amazing. I wanted that scene when Hermione will choose one of the potion to drink in order to pass a certain challenge to get to Professor Quirrell before he will use its power to bring back Voldemort. It was awesome, cringe worthy, thrilling and entertaining because of Ron, I really love the outcome of this film. I recommend it to the people who wants magical mysteries, sci fi films, and friendship lessons.
